I’ve been putting off writing this one. We had high hopes for this first tournament of the year. We’ve done fairly well on the Harris Chain of lakes in the past, which made our result all the more disappointing. It didn’t go well for us. The weather prior to and during this tournament was a factor with numerous fronts pushing through the weeks prior. The fish really want to spawn, but the weather had been preventing them. It was a really tough bite as a result.
On a positive note, we were warm and comfortable in our new 100mph suits from Bass Pro Shops!
We had a few bites. I even caught a 10″ dink, but the short of it was that we only weighed in one fish that Brian caught on a T-Rigged zoom speed craw. That fish weighed 1.73lbs if I recall correctly.
It only took 13lbs and some change to win this tournament. Congrats to all the teams that managed to bring in 5 fish to the weigh-in!
Congrats to John Cincotta & Perry Cincotta on winning the tournament with 13.3 pounds. They also caught the big fish of the tournament at 6.43 pounds! Nice job, fellas!
